What to listen for
- Bass cancel - low end that feels solid in stereo but thins or vanishes when you sum to mono.
- Mid hollow - body/punch missing in the midrange on fold, even when highs still sparkle.
- Phone fold - the same hole on a phone speaker or Bluetooth mono path (social / car / earbud mono).
